In this more advanced class, you will refine your skills and create pieces with more complexity and dimension.
Students will gain confidence and knowledge of tools to help create their pieces. The instructor will introduce a new process every week to open the design possibilities. Basic stone setting. multiple solder joints and metal texturing/forming techniques will be covered.
Individual artistic growth will be encouraged to help the students become more independent.
Materials List
You will need the following materials for this course:
- Saw blades: at least 2 dozen
- Hard solder wire
- Medium solder wire
- Easy solder wire
- 18 gauge metal sheet, at least 2" x 6" in size; bring a minimum of 2 types of sheet metal: brass, bronze, copper, nickel silver or sterling silver
- 16 gauge round wire; bring a minimum of 10 feet of one of the following types of wire: brass, bronze, copper, nickel silver or sterling silver
- Small jar of Fluoride free flux
